It was started in 1895 by Daniel Swarovski, the glass cutter and jeweler who invented a glass cutting machine that eventually revolutionized the process of crystal cutting. The result is quite evident at the outlet that stocks awe-inspiring crystal items. The assortment at Swarovski keeps changing with season and occasion. 

What you get –  Swarovski products vary across categories like silver crystal, Disney collection, home and interior décor items, accessories, jewelries and home accessories.

Silver crystal products include a wide array of crystal figurines of animals and birds. The range of aquatic animals and sea creatures like dolphins, sea horse, hermit crab, sea turtle, sea lion and penguins are very rare to find elsewhere. All these items are priced between Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 30,000 approximately. We liked a crystal shell with a crystal pearl for Rs. 9,500. A collection of Disney characters like Mickey, Pooh, Bambi and so on are expensive but awe-inspiring gifts for kids too. These are available at Rs. 3,000 onwards.

A lot of little messengers (figurines in the shape of a teddy or a doll) wishing good day or happy birthday, make for an ideal or rather glamorous gift. These gift items are available from Rs. 1,500 onwards.

Swarovski's collection reflects an inspiration from nature. A wide range of feathered birds and colorful flowers comprise an exclusive range at Swarovski and make for elegant home decor. Kingfisher, woodpeckers, parrots and many more in their true colors are seen in their crystal avatars. Even flowers like tulip, orchids or roses have their petals in natural hues in these products, carved out beautifully in a combination of crystals and granite. All these items are priced between Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 73,000 approximately.

Swarovski also stocks home accessories (Rs. 13,000 to Rs. 3 lakhs) like crystalline bowl, vases, candleholder, photo frames, cocktail glasses, wine glasses, paperweight and so on. Crystal jewelry  is there too, available for Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 25,000. These include rings, earrings, necklace sets, pendants, bracelets, tie pins, hair clips, key rings and the like. Jewelries come with white metal, rhodium metal and some are gold plated.

Our verdict – Swarovski is for those who love and can afford a luxurious lifestyle. MetroMela liked the collection of silver crystal products. The crystal figurines and some of the products with abstract shapes and designs could complement office and home décor artistically. We also recommend the collection of crystal jewelry at Swarovski as the pricing seems quite reasonable and affordable for the quality. It reflects a subtle, elegant and classy taste of fashion jewelry. The innovative designs and the detailing with which each crystal is carved into a striking product at Swarovski are worth giving a try. Staff is cooperative and parking space is available at Garuda Mall.
